Re: Special Thanks To Jacksonville/Bill Pyburn

I had the pleasure to meet Bill as he was kind enough to come down and do our SOS Spring Poker Run last month. I fully expected to return the favor, unfortunately, my kidney stone ordeal is beginning to take on epic proportions, possibly ending up in the Guiness Book of World Records for "the longest to get rid of". Just in my conversation with him, I knew it was going to be an especially spectacular event event. Reading the above posts just makes me that much more disappointed that I wasn't able to attend. Someone has to represent the "mild" power of the spectrum. I have every intention of attending next year's event and want to be one of the very first to send in my registration fee. There can be very very little to compare to the sheer excitement of seeing 110 offshore boats running in a poker run. As far as I'm concerned, it's the main reason we have water. Russ

No problem...just bustin ya chops.....yes the run down to St Augustine on the outside was the Highlight of the weekend for me. I grew up in Daytona, yet had never been faster than 30mph out in the ocean...due to conditions. Here we were running 70++ at times...I still can't believe how flat the water was! That was a real treat.

I second that. The run down and back was the best! The boat looks really good in the water. Take care!

We stopped and waved at our troops flying in at the base. Got a wiggle of the wings from them!
