THE FLORIDA POWERBOAT CLUB IS NOT INVOLVED THIS YEAR BUT I TALKED TO BECKY WORD AND IT SOUNDS LIKE EVERYTHING WILL BE THE SAME. GRAND PRIZE IS A NISSAN 350Z http://www.emeraldcoastpokerrun.com/ |
Re: Emerald Coast Poker Run 2004
I ththink FPC is doing a run the same weekend in Orange Beach,Al in conjunction with the SBI races. We always did Emerald Coast but will be in Orange Beach this year.

Re: Emerald Coast Poker Run 2004
Ya, It's Called A Rendezous( Rafting Party To Watch Th Race)
I Don't Know Much About The Waters Around Orange Beach. Is There Any Inland Waters Or Is It All Offshore? |
Re: Emerald Coast Poker Run 2004
Stu said its a rendezvous not a poker run in Orange Beach. Also the race is that weekend there also.
We are going to the Emerald Coast poker run. They had 230 boats there last year.Ought to be fun :D |
Re: Emerald Coast Poker Run 2004
Last I had heard the Mystics of Pleasure poker run in Orange Beach was 8/14 and the SBI races were 8/21-22 and Emerald Coast was 8/21.
If anyone knows different please say so. |
Re: Emerald Coast Poker Run 2004
what's the fee to win such a nice prize?
|
Re: Emerald Coast Poker Run 2004
$400 for 4 hands and 4 party tickets. They said last year was a H2 Hummer.
= $100. per person and hand Just like TickFaw La. |
Re: Emerald Coast Poker Run 2004
Just talked to Racerx6 .They are already there just laying out at the beach. Said the weather is great and there was about 4 other boats there . They said they will be opening up the parking lot next to the Ramada Thurs and have 24 hour security for the boats.
We'll see yaw this weekend :drink: Rob |
Re: Emerald Coast Poker Run 2004
Emerald Coast run is awesome. We are staying at Orange Beach for the races but may head to AJ's in Destin to snap some pics and see the boats on Saturday.
|
Re: Emerald Coast Poker Run 2004
This is my first year for this run ,Should be fun.JnT yall have fun at the races .
I wish they had these 2 events at a different times :( They did the earlier race in May the same as the Tickfaw 200 poker run.Conflicts :( |
Re: Emerald Coast Poker Run 2004
Do both!! Poker Run Saturday and be part of the spectator fleet at the races Sunday.
|
Re: Emerald Coast Poker Run 2004
We could run over there Sunday,I figure its only about 1 hour run from Fort Walton beach to Orange beach by boat. :D
Most of our group is planing on doing Crab Island on Sunday at Destin,we'll see? Rob |
Re: Emerald Coast Poker Run 2004
I understand a group will be coming over from Orange Beach on Fri PM the Back Sat night. Should be a busy weekend . Will be at AJ's about 8:00 Friday night. In route to Ft Meyers tonight.
There were many boats arriving on trailers in Ft. Walton and Destin today when I was there. |
Re: Emerald Coast Poker Run 2004
There are a few boats going down from Atlanta. This will be my first real poker run,(I don`t count lake Lanier as a real poker run). This will also be the first time my 28 Skater hits the ocean.Needless to say I am very excited about this weekend.Looking forward to meeting some OSO members in person.
|
Re: Emerald Coast Poker Run 2004
TMP, Extreme Motorsports, and Florida Powerboat Club will be hosting a party at the VIP lounge in Orange Beach on Fri. night. All are welcome to attend. We will have the TMP/Extreme Motorsports girls there giving out t-shirts and other things. We will also have a few of our boats on display in the dry pits. Cyclone and Excess Wetness will be the official pace boats at Sunday's race. Anyone who needs anything can call my cell: 504-415-6681
Thanks, Steve |
Re: Emerald Coast Poker Run 2004
I Can't Make Either One!!!!!!!!
|
Re: Emerald Coast Poker Run 2004
I just wish there was a way we could do both, this will be the first year we miss the Destin P.R. and the Sunday Crab Island hangover/hang out party :p :drink: If any of you OSO guys come on over, we will buy you guys/gals a drink or better yet get a free TMP T-Shirt. Take care Jeff :D
|
Re: Emerald Coast Poker Run 2004
so what ever happened to the tmp/extreme radar run????????????
|
Re: Emerald Coast Poker Run 2004
Eric, why don't you post this on the correct thread, ?????????but I'll anwser your Q's anyways. The majority of people that posted on that thread, like yourself, that wanted it, do not have a boat to run in it, but would have liked to go to the party, great, cause we like parties. There also was an entry fee, but no applicants, and then it turned into a bunch of trash talk, :argue: which was a few people's ego's getting involved. We tried to do something fun for everyone, and have different classes to keep it fair, but you cant have a race without applicants. The Q's that should be asked is why here on OSO do you bring this up, and again this is more than once on different threads, if you and the other guys want it so bad, call the shop, YOU and YOUR FRIENDS know the number, or better yet, call my cell after I get back from the races, both numbers are at the bottom of the page. Jeff

Re: Emerald Coast Poker Run 2004
yo jeff ,this was your idea , not mine. i just wanna make some $$$$$$ off of the bets i will be making (or hope to make) . all that tmp has said they will put on a radar run. it is your job to get people to sign up. parties , don't really care for them too much. me and my people , what ,the one's with the dyno that everyone goes to have engines tuned including tmp motors  as far as my old resin bucket cigarette , yup , still sittin' on dollies :argue: but if i make enough on the bets from the radar run i'll have PRECISION build me some BIG AZZ blower motors :eek::eek: :drink:

Re: Emerald Coast Poker Run 2004
Poker run was great. Lots of nice hardware. Did not stay to see who won the car, I had enough when midnight rolled around. It was supposed to be over at 10:30. Does anyone know the winner?

Re: Emerald Coast Poker Run 2004
We left around midnight also :( .The 4 people where headed to the round table for the play off as we where leaving .They didn't even do the raffle tickets while we where there :( .They must of gave them away after the final card game after midnight.
It was a great run and one hell of a party . Great food.and the scenery was outstanding. My buddy said he would have married at least 30 girls from Saturday night. Felt like they where trying to milk us$$,it was dragged out  I took a bunch of picks :D |

We were there , first poker run I have attended. Had a blast, hit all 9 stops. We were at Bamboo Willies at 10am, and everything was still running good by the end of the day. Hit the party later, did not get poker playing to well unless you had enough $$$ to buy a great hand or buy you the worst hand, (there rules)!! But the food was top notch and I live down here so I know what great seafood taste like. We had 16 raffle tickets and still missed the door prizes. But I didnt care, It was worth it KR
