I don't think Strip NEEDS any support. He's been crowned King with no opposition.

All over Europe You need a licence for any boat with more than 5 HP

the good news is with this licence You can rent a boat up to 60 ft WITHOUT a captain , so you can drive yourself with some friends or your family without any strangers onboard and you can rent theese boats in several areas all over europe
the second good thing is if you have a licence you can drive your friends boat without any additionel insurance police

So there are some good reasons for a licence

Best regards

yea well other than that those "forward thinking" perks of having a liscence on your side of the pond will never come to fruition here.

I have started the school simply for this reason., But my school focus is for the multi step vee hull or cat design. Education and safety and knowledge of what is going on under the bottom of your hull and speeds and turning.http://www.tmoffshore.com/tm-all-school.html

easy now...
it's pretty straightforward what I said. Having a boating liscence driving your friends boat, and having an accident, will never absolve you of rediculous litigation here in the U.S.

Also for the same litiginous reasons, you're not chartering anybody's 60 footer for a 3 day cruise without a captain here either.

Having a recreational boating liscence won't mean squat in these respects here...'cause we're lawsuit happy, and everyone is paranoid.
