bob, i was told the rev limiter is set at 5600, the flame arresters came with the rig, they are gaffrig, and the 572 merlin is in vinyl lettering. the carbs are dominators, and the ignition is msd. im very happy with the set up, and dont listen to cuda, he is skeered that when i go down there im going to hurt him bad. him and that junk box, with the weird drives..........lol only kidding grandpa cuda.. hey bob tell me more a bout your rig. i assume you have a simular set up to mine? dave

Hey stecz,
I have the 572's tall deck chevys with merlin heads, 1050 dominator racing carbs.
msd. 5600 rev.limiters , stellings exhaust, speedmasters 1.5-1 duel tie bars , liquid harmonic rotating assy. balancers, velvet touch 9 clutch trans. [6 forward 3 reverse ]
just had rebuilt, gaffrig gauges , gaffrig gps speedo with recall, graffrig throttles & shifters. Boat has been rack stored since new.

jryan26, Sorry I didn't post earlier but I'm not receiving an email notification when somebody posts to a topic after I do for some reason, but yeah, that is me. I'm at Keystone almost every weekend, but I'm not sure what the plans are for this weekend yet. I may go to Grand on Saturday then go back to Keystone for Sunday and Monday. Where do you do most of your boating?

Here's my boat I own with a friend of mine. 1979 Mirage 9M-SS. Redid the engines and some of the cockpit this past winter. Going to redo the deck this coming winter. Also going to put the old M-793 "Woverine" Decals back on the boat to make it look like the old offshore race boat.

In the four hours that I've put on the engine since I got it, the fastest GPS speed has been about 88 mph. The water has been down in our lake and I haven't had time to test my 4 blade prop. I also plan to take out a 1 inch spacer in the drive. The goal? 91 to 93 mph in ideal conditions. We'll see-
