Share Boat pics?
 

Well here is mine. Its a 1993 28' LOA Wellcraft Nova ST 8' 6" beam

Listed for 65k new

- T-350 Magnums
-Alpha Counter rotating drives/Mirage props
-Kenwood sound system
-Head/Tank
-Norskog Speedometer
-Hour meter only 110 hrs.
-Twin custom SS exhaust with Gil silencer tips
-Custom molded swim platform
-Side and aft curtains/cockpit covers
-Tilt wheel
-Wrap around windshield
-Trim Tabs
-Electric hatch

I am pretty attached to it. Nothing fancy but i got a good one and it runs much the same as a 28' Scarab. Have had many folks offer to buy it for more than I paid. It has always been in an indoor heated storage unit. Mint.

Goes around 64 mph; can cruise at 50 mph all day long.
Economical at around 16 gph at cruise
Absolutely mint. Never a problem of any kind.
Handles 3-4'ers like a champ and have been in 6+'ers and did ok but never again! Maybe?

The smell of resin, a bight blue sky, a few seagulls then hit the throttles and you are away. I look back at shore and always say to myself " I have escaped the 9-5 grind". Those poor folks who have to stay on land and work! It's like the worlds greatest escape! The faster you go the more you have to read the water and concentrate. It totally takes your mind off of everything. You are free! Soaring?

Help for the passion about boating? Never!

We had it built in '99 and cut a sweet deal with Patrick aka: Active Thunder
They don't make the 25 anymore :( But Tantrum is selling one with a bit more power for a good price!! Check on that!!

By the way, here's my rides:

79 Wellcraft Nova 210xl. Almost collectable condition.
Small block chevy with an alpha. Small, but wave crusher.

and a 87 Chris Craft Stinger 260. Twin SBCs and Cobra drives. Not the fastest, but when Lake Erie smacks, she smacks back. Great wave crusher. We get more rough days than anything up here.

That's a real nice 23' Nova I have the 26'er. I always wondered why the boat is such a good wave crusher. It only has a 23 degree deadrise. Maybe it's the weight. Mine has 350 Magnums that have cam's etc and I can only get it to 64 mph. I think it would take T-500's to get things exciting and that's a lot of power to get a 26' boat to fly. Good ride but probably a heavy inefficient hull 6,000 lb V-bottom. So I enjoy the ride and look to bigger and better things some day.

I had a 1985 wellcraft witha 454ci called reddog maybe you seen it in the river, it was great in rough water must have made 200 trips to the bay.

thanks active fun and bob barker. the rig is still pretty new to us. im thinking around 80. we will see in the next few weeks. it seems every time we take the rig out, we have a few too fast too fast people on it. so in the next few weeks it will be only me and my brother. the only thing im sure of, is that i can smoke cuda and his punk formula. but so can everybody........................

The best way to get record your top speed is like I did, go out by yourself an put
the hammer down, trim your drives & tabs an hang on, theres nobody to ***** about
going to fast.I have a gaffrig gps speedo which recalls your fastest time until you reset it then you have braggin rights. your boat should do 80s easily. What drives
do you have.

Here's my boat. 79 32' excalibur stock 454 400's will run about 64 with 1/2 a tank of fuel.
I think this rig could handle anything lake erie could throw at it . I've been in some scary waters on my way back from put in bay and it plows right through.great boat love the older boats .

bob that is the plan, just the boat is still too new, to not allow family on it... in the next few weeks it will just be me and my bro. i also agree with ya, its should do over 80, we had her doing 70 with plenty left. ill keep ya posted, thanks for caring.... lol dave

This is my 1988 28 Scarab that I been working on for the past 3 years. She has a 600 HP blown 454 pushing a 26p Prop at 5400 RPM. She runs mid 70's. next week Ill be installing a strenjack which is known to give my hull 5 MPH. My goal is to reach at least 80 MPH.
