I tried cropping. I'll figure it out someday

Here it goes.
-go to http://www.irfanview.com/
-download tab
-download the program on the first server (with 5 cows beside it)
-install it and start it.
-click file tab or little icon with file opening
-open the picture in the directory you want to mess with (btw once in a folder you can go riffle-thru at warp speed all the pics by pressing the "Space" bar or "Backspace" key.
-once open with left clicking square around what you want to crop
-click "edit" tab then "crop selection"
-click "image" then "re-size"tab, then click 1024x768 in the standard re-size box, it will resize with the proper ratios for 1024 wide
-press the "s" key to "save as"
-save the file modified with a new name wherever you want.

It's a lot faster to do than to write.

BTW I would not download the program for every pictures, once will do Mr. Gates!!!!

Well i cropped, tried a few times to post a pic to see if it worked, said each time file too large. I must be a moron.

cropping won't cut it, you need to re-size also..

I even use it sometimes cuz its quick and My Photoshop8 takes longer to load.
