Re: Lake Champlain Milk Run - Saturday July 31st
The old Donzi is back together and we will once again be attending the Milk Run and competing in the catagories of oldest, smallest and slowest. In an effort to keep up we will be taking all the shortcuts we can find and likely skip the Essex stop. We do however expect to make it to the end this time. :D
Put me down for 2 in a '66 Donzi 18 / 289 Cobra from the Green Mountain State. GL: How's the Tiger doing??? Frank |

Re: Lake Champlain Milk Run - Saturday July 31st
Got the 8 new cylinders & rings yesterday, all parts are here engine guy says Friday AM. We still have to shove the thing back in the boat. I'd say odds 50/50 for Friday, Saturday 75/25.
If not I'll be doing a lot of boating in the following 2 weeks to break that thing in before the run. |

Re: Lake Champlain Milk Run - Saturday July 31st
oh less than 3 weeks to go. no suprise roof job this year :D
I stopped a SternDrivespecialists and found I had burned a hole in a exhaust hose, plus I had a high temp low oil pressure stored codes. after picking up some hose I went home and pulled the impeller , sure enough it was bad looks like something went in and knocked a 1/4 chip out of 4 impeller blades. easy fix. I will bet it was the cause of the stored codes and the hole in the exhaust hose. well GL so far I cannot get past 67 GPS looks like a labbed 26 4 blade will do it or bring me close. At least will be able to make it from stop to stop within a reasonable time :D |
Re: Lake Champlain Milk Run - Saturday July 31st
Sorry GLH, as much as I want to attend, I have to bow out. I got a promotion at work and have very little time off right now. Hopefully next year. :(

Waterheater - we will be out Friday night is the weather holds up. Definitely over the weekend....planning to head down to the bistro in Westport on Saturday.

Re: Lake Champlain Milk Run - Saturday July 31st
We're rebored, honed, iconeled, heads done, crank balanced, new cylindered and ringed and should be together around noon to 1 PM. Brought the rig to VT H&M tonight they will have a pick up at Andy's shop the second the last bolt is torqued and are shoving the mill back in as soon as it's together.
We'll do the other mill this winter and add intercoolers to both, in the interim we'll work the throttles to match rpm's. Those guys kick azz. Now where's my checkbook! F-me... :D:D:D |
