They're really a very cool animal. They just kinda bump around minding their own business. Real slow-moving, munchin on whatever, no harm to nobody.
Cuda is right - it's not their fault. They could give a sh!t. It's the over-zealous tree-hugger types that give em a bad name.
Don't hate em, they're just a pawn in a much bigger game.

Another manatee named New Bay also lost her radio tag and belt and was last sighted on June 1 in Hernando County in Florida, near Pine Island. New Bay has the marking “W 8” markings on her back. If you see a manatee with this marking, please call 1-888-404-FWCC (3922

Reading some old story's seem's they taste real good,A Cuban guy I know said they were all around his village..One day one was caught and cooked ..He said it was very good and that was the end of them there..

Manatees are just another excuse for enviro-whackos to collect a paycheck. They are worthless, helpless creatures that pose a threat to boaters. They destroy nearly a 1000 pounds of seagrass a day. And of course, what goes in, must come out...they create 1000 pounds of pollution per day. They eliminate habitat for other marine life.
