Re: Exhaust grime
I've found that practically any good cleaning product works well so long as you get right to it. Also, whenever I'm rafted up with someone, I put on a water ski vest and just jump in the water with a light brush or sponge and wipe it down. This keeps the build up under control. Good luck!!

I have yet to find anything better than "Fantastik". A spray bottle goes for about 3 bucks. Spray the boat all the way around to pretreat. Then wash with soap and water. I go through a bottle every wash usually.

Re: Exhaust grime
I guess that is why they call it a labor of love. If you want to keep it looking good you have to stay on it.
That is what I have done, keeping it wiped off before it dries.
Thanks everyone for your input and safe 4th boating.
