We were thinking of doing a long weekend boating on Lake Shelbyville. Anyone with experience of the lake and places to stay/eat/party that are on the water. Prefer a covered slip if possible.
Thanks

We boat there several times a year. We like staying at Eagle Creek Resort (www.eaglecreekresort.com). The restaurant at the resort serves excellent food. They also have slips available (uncovered). I would recommend using their ramps as well.
There are several marina's on the lake. Slips are available, but covered slips are few. The marina nearest the dam has a Subway restaurant. Skeeters is on the North end of the lake - you can order any kind of fried food you like
It's a great family fun lake and they do have a party cove.

It's my home lake... I grew up on this lake. If i'm not getting away for a long weekend I am there every weekend boating. It's lots of fun and there are alot of powerboats there anymore.. and party cove is getting wilder all the time. any questions let me know.
