Heading to Cedar point/Sandusky on Friday, questiions???
Well, vacation time is almost here. We are heading to cedar point saturday morning and I need to know where to launch my boat and if I can store a trailer there somewhere. I have a slip booked at Cedar point marina for the week but they tell me no trailer parking or launching. If someone could point me to a close by marina with parking and a decent ramp I would appreciate it.
Where should I plan on boating to and where should I avoid? I have a 25 foot cat so chop and slop is ok but 5 foot swells could be a little ugly. Anyone have some time to play tour guide?
I have heard all about PIB but we will have 2, 6 year old girls with us so I think that might be out of the question for this trip anyway.
We are staying at a place called Bayshore resort so whats in the area we should plan on seeing/attending besides Cedar Point Park?
It would be great to meet some of the local OSO members, even if just for a cold beverage and some bench boating at night.
I don't think the motorhome sites have internet hook up so if you could just post any info this week and / or pm me your phone numbers I would appreciate any and all inside info I can get.
Thanks and hope to meet some of you soon.

There is another marina close by that can handle the needs you have that Cedar Point can't.
I think that there is info on their website about it. They may have bought it?

Hit the Casino Reastraunt and Lounge sometime this weekend its on Kelleys Island. lots of family oriented stuff and sight seeing to do there. I would offer my service as a guide, but I wont be able to make it to the lake this weekend

Dempseys access is another good spot. It is in Sandusky bay on the west side of the bay. So its just a quick run across the bay around Johnson's Island. and to get from there to Cedar point marina you don' t even need to go out on the lake.

same here but the water is way up this year, and in there you only get one chance most of the shallow spots around the bay is silt and sand but in dempseys there are alot of rocks. 2 years ago I tacoed a prop when the water was way down.
