How many laps around the island should we do?

Remember what happened last year? Let's really do it right this year.
We need to set up an official scooter race committee.
Any make or model scooter is acceptable.
Layout the race course, (it can only be one lap).
Driver's meeting just prior to the race.
Exact start time, preferably before the official cocktail hour.
We cannot let word of this leak out to the press, as we will be breaking traffic laws so you know the cops will be on the lookout for this event.
To make this worthwhile, we need to have a prize for the top 3 finishers.

Finally, someone is talking about Key West. I was there last year but missed the race. I know a few people that will be in on it this year. Keep me posted.

One other thing, it gets dark around 5:30 that time of year, we may need to do this in daylight, like around 4-4:30, so we can all start drinking at sunset time.
I know, some start drinking the day they arrive in Key West.... .
The whole race will be what, 15 minutes or so?

Oh yeah, I meant missed the scooter race. It would take a few guns and some horses to pull me away from the race race. I was out on Sebago in turn one the whole time. What a spot. Were there any "issues" with the scooter race last year? Was it a poker run or just a race?
