Very Important Speaker Info

Hey Jon,
My Jeff Rowland amp, Audio-physic speakers, Cardas cables and a Rega planet cost more than my 26 foot boat, and that was at dealer CES prices.
But it was worth it. I can drive a so-so boat, but I can't listen to so-so reproduction.
Besides, when you can hear the difference, you can't go back.

Okay, my four Clarion 2 way 6.5" marine speakers have finally blown the weather resistant plastic cones off the weather resistant rubber surrounds. I'm pushing them with a 75watt RMS per channel amp (93/channel into 2 ohms parallel) crossed over at 80hz with the bottom 80hz going to a bridged mono channel sub at 150w.
It's actually sounded acceptable for the usage, but since I gotta buy 2 new pair soon (the old ones still sound fine at low background volumes or the time being) I need guidance.
Requirements:
6.5" round all-in-one (no separates)
White grilles.
I got room behind them for baffles, etc. (a-la Bose, etc).
I can get the Clarion replacements for $92/pair. Would like to stay in that budget.

For the clearest mids and highs I recommend MBQuarts. Babb also works well at playing loud but lacks some of the higher frequency clarity. Both are closely priced and properly marinized to withstand a marine environment. Both should provide years of listening pleasure. Feel free to call me at 813-882-8477 and we can determine which suits your needs best.
