Re: what about Scarab???
Thanks for the info guys. I'm open to any suggestions. I was initially looking at the 32 active thunders but i really need to stay under 70k and closer to 65k if possible. This particular scarab is for sale close to home and seems like a nice boat, have yet to crawl thru it. The boat only has 280 hrs so hopefully i can get a few seasons before i get speed itis. If i like the boat i could always repower in a few years to get more speed.

The 38 Scarab is an awesome boat. If she's in good shape, I don't think you'd be disappointed. I've owned 2 Scarabs so far. They're not the fastest, but they're built well and ride in the rough stuff like there's nothing to it.

Re: what about Scarab???
Guys i appreciate all the help. I wish i could afford to bump up to 80 or 90k and pick up a gun but unfortunately im on a budget and would like to start working less and enjoying life more. I really like formulas, cigs , active thunder, and many more. Im just looking for the most boat for the $$$. I also dont want to get depressed all winter long making big payments. I origionally wasn't even considering scarab until this one came up. Im still playing phone tag with the owner, hopefully we can get together this week for a look at her.
