Calling on my OSO brothers for some help. Crew member #2 is due in September, and I'd like to take the Mrs on a little vacation to thank her (and by the 5 month mark, we'll probably need the break!).
So.... I'm thinking a long weekend at the Miami Boat Show is just what the doctor ordered. Any advice on a nice place to stay that is somewhat convenient to the show and has some nice dining/nightlife? I'd like to make reservations now to hopefully keep the cost down a bit...
Gracias! (just practicin'

Stayed at the Crowne Plaza, which is in the Holiday Inn chain, and got a pretty good rate by booking early ($129 - $179). Convenient to South Beach (where you are going to end up), and very, Very nice accommodations. The number there is (305)-604-5700. For a little less money, but with a really Kick A$$ Tiki Bar by the pool and an Outback Steak Joint, you can stay at the Holiday Inn on 2201 Collins. Its a farther walk, but the rates are around $100. (305)-779-3200. Be prepared to pay a premium wherever you stay. Just recommending these two from good experiences...

I stayed in a hotel 2 doors down from the Clevelander. BOY that was convenient
Stagger home. 150-200 a night for the waterfront side sense I found it hard to sleep I wont be staying on that side again, the night life down there don't stop

We stay at the WAVE right on Ocean, a couple blocks south of the Cleavlander. Over priced and small,, but close enough to the action, and far enough you can sleep when you want.
