I have a very good friend in Dallas who can probably do this, but he is still 3.5 hours from Austin. Let me know if your efforts fail here, and I will see if he is up to it.

I don't let anybody in this town work on my stuff, period. I have a leakdown tester if you like to give me a call (PM me), but I don't know anything about speedmaster drives.

It's around a 4 hour trip. Depends on how fast you drive. Everyone on that streach of road drives at least 80 the whole way.

Give Full Throttle a call to see what he says.

Russ,

thanks for the info. I spoke with Bob. Very nice guy.....as life would have it, he is intimately familiar with the boat and engines as he is the owner's mechanic! He gave me the history of the engines from build by Tyler Crockett. He has re-assured me the engines are solid. He will be happy to do compression and leakdown test and provide me with the figures. Thanks again to everyone for their imput. I knew this was the place to seek help.
