Considering a used 35-38 Cig. (less than 15 yrs. old) and wanted some advice on what years to look for and avoid. I know company ownership and design changes have occurred over the years. Had a friend that cracked the hull in a brand new 35 out in the L.I. Sound back in 1985. Cig fixed it but the boat was heavier than ever after that. Never found out if it was a flaw, but he did hit hard off of a monster wave. Anyway, I've tried to contact Cigarette support, emailing them twice over the last year about what years they made hull changes. Got no reply at all so I assume they don't care about their used market customers. Any info from the owners here would be greatly appreciated!

Joe, I'd look for a nice Cafe, preferably with Bravos and an updated dash. What was the last year Cig made the Mistress? Didn't Don A say the Mistress was the best offshore boat he ever drove? Of course, there have been a lot of others designed since then.
