Re: Is this a scam?
Here is the deal...top dollar request, payment and clearing of funds in full before it his the container, shipping paid in full with receipt of all insurance and payment. Cash sits in bank for 2 weeks before the boat leaves. Wired funds to your bank and evidence of availabilty of funds. Just CYA the whole step. If he balks at one little aspect of this say good day bloke.

Fraud, no question. not only will he pay full asking price, will include the cost of shipping asking you to forward to a shipping company. Funds would never clear and he not only stole your boat, you payed for overseas shipping.

Re: Is this a scam?
This was my response;
Gordon,
You will need to excuse me for being skeptical but this is due to me not selling items overseas, and due to the recent scam's with overseas agents occurring here in the US. If we are able to come to an agreement I will only accept cash or a certified bank check and the boat will be shipped only when, I have confirmed the funds are in my account, and proof of shipping and insurance are provided.
I was not able to find your company listed on the internet to verify you are a legitimate organization, again I apologize for needing to verify this information.
The boat is in excellent condition. As a matter of fact, I was out running the boat for a few hours yesterday . The boat was completely restored including the engines, upholstery, gauges, paint, drive indicators, etc. The engines are Mercruiser 502 cubic inch.engines producing 500 horsepower each. Some of the engine components include; Merlin cylinder heads, Stainless Marine Exhaust, Holley Carbs, Crane Cams. The engines have 250 hrs and a compression check was done recently that confirms the motors are in excellent condition (150 lbs psi) . Other equipment include Mayfair
external steering. The hull itself has been reinforced to add additional stringers to make the boat stronger. I have included several pictures for your review.
The price of the boat is $27,000 USD.
Again, please excuse my skepticism and I hope we can come to an agreement and apologize for the mistrust.

By the way, his name again is Gordon Jackson and his email address is [email protected]
Usually when someone works for a company it is reflected in their email address right, not @fastermail.com??? This is sounding like BS!!

Re: Is this a scam?
I have just placed several ads in the internet. Not one reply I got was legit.
They all want to pay in casheirs checks, which later your bank finds out is couterfeit.
Some even more $ to cover expenses, than want you to give them the differance back.
Most did come from out of the country. None of them would contact me by phone. I just responded to them all that I would only send the product after all funds are cleared. I also told them my husband worked for the FBI and if anything was suspicious, we would fry their ass.
Funny, I have had no more requst back from these people. I think the safest way to go is E-bay.
