Seems like the Formula SunSports are what you are looking for. Still has the performance, but more amenities and seating to keep the wife happy.

Go look at some of the nice outoard center consoles, good looks, good performance, and TONS of room for people.

I hate to do it on the offshore forum, but if the wife is talking you in to a cruiser GO CRUISER. A 1/2 and 1/2 curiser is a waste of time. If you want to cruise go with a searay sundancer or a formula PC. I had plenty of race boats but when the wife becomes a major pain in the ass about it FIRE her or Just get a PC. (I LOVE MY PC)

Of course, I could just downsize and get a 260SS or an older 242SS and save some money to boot!

John, I forgot about Sunseeker... I may have to work alot of OT to afford one of those

32Storm, I've considered those too, just a little too wide to trailer in VA.

Thanks for most of the replies....

If your going to make the move ,then dont go to the cruiser style, go look at the Black Thunder's , they have 6'10" head room, lots of cockpit and cabin features are all there, that would be the perfect compromise. And still in the performance series.
