Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ

With promises of a brighter future for what was one of the best tourist's attractions in the 1950's, also starring in the film "City By The Sea" I decided to make a trip to get some pics of Asbury as it sits today. Hoping one day as my daughters get older, I can show them the before and after pics.
With this thread, I would also like to hear from all you OSO'ers who have lived in NJ and have transplanted elsewhere. Let's hear it! :) |

The pictures will start at the southern end of the boardwalk around the Carousel & Casino and work there way north.

Across the street from the Casino and the "Tillie Arcade" has since been destroyed...

The Famous Stony Pony alive and well.....
This where many big time musicians got their start such as Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes and many more.... |
