Sure the GPS wasn't calibrated in Kilometers/hr? All kidding aside, I would need to ride in the boat with my own GPS before I believed 110 in a non stepped V bottom with 580 a side. I know a little bit about 28' Eliminator cats and it takes 600+hp a side to run 110. Hell with those kinds of speeds why not put some factory 525's in and go after some speed records. No steps even required

not hard to believe 502s 465hp mercs 85 for $85,000 and merc 502s 500hps were 98 for $98,000 or at or just under 100. not had to believe with the new props in 04 and the light weight and two sets of full length strakes I am betting it runs like its on rails. I will look in my books. ps I know this is ooold thread but cool and this feb ,march a 28 SABER with DEAN GELLNER ENGINEERING 216 398 8500 572 BLOWER MOTOR should break a 100 or more with a KONRAD ACE X FACTOR DRIVE , PETE NOPPER tranny and BBLADES prop behind it , I hope with pump gas if not DEAN will be in the boat to GET HER DONE with race gas , I will start a thread with pics as we start the work next week to bring drive height up. and get ready for motor in late dec early jan. later art
