Um. I'm extremely PC literate... and well when the website say there is a problem with the link I'm going to assume that it is. And I do have a mac. At home. I'm on the road and I'm running XP professional on a Dell. I'll try is again today.

Re: Will a Avalanche Tow a****

The guy trying to tow a 16,000 pound boat with an Avalanche IS A FRIGGIN IDIOT! I have nothing against an Avalanche (or Chevy), but this is not a safe setup for that kind of weight. The Avalanche doesn't have the stopping power and the wheelbase lenth is probably not long enough for stability.

I have personally logged more than 200K miles over the last 5 years of towing boats and I don't clain to be an "expert", but I have alot of towing experience and this guy is not only risking his own safety, but the safety of others around him if he tries to tow that heavy load.
I have towed that much weight before with a '99 Ford F-350 PSD (crew-cab, longbed, dually, 4x4) and the truck could tow it, but stopping was not easy. I went about 2 miles on flat land, but wouldn't do it again.
If (when) he has an accident, he will be SCREWED, because the truck isn't rated for that weight and he will be liable for damages to any person(s) or property.

Hey take it easy, I didn't mean to come across as insulting.. I thought you might have had a player problem. I didn't realize the link was bad for you.

I just checked and it is still working. If you want to see it I can e-mail it to you. It really fits this thread perfectly :D

I realize that Strip Poker isn't trying to tow the 16K # boat with the Avalanche. It doesn't matter really who it is, it is just plain idiotic to try to do that.
