No more boating and it's not the engine
SubscribeWhile Mr P was skiing this morning he broke his foot. It was pretty bad, I was driving and he had a really bad fall, thank goodness we had a guy along because we had to drag him back on the boat and then rush back home to our dock to get him to the ER. I must admit I was a bit of a spase, trying to get him back on the boat and then back off again, and to the hospital. He will see the ortho doc in the morning to get all the gorey details
unfortunately this probably means the end of the season for us and that's pretty depressing

Sorry to hear that. For what its worth the season for us "snow people" is coming to an end soon. I've had nothing but rotten luck myself this season from health reasons from the start and boat problems till now. Good thing you were there and I wish Mr. P a speedy recovery.
I know all about the health issues this spring and summer, a kidney stone ordeal that ended up lasting ten full weeks. Finally got to start my exhaust swap out, worked on it one day, then nothing but rain on the weekends and Hurricane Charlie thrown in. Right now I'm shooting for "Cuda's Cruze" in October up the St. Johns River.
At least we have a 12 month season.

Sorry about your bad luck. I stopped skiing a quite few years ago after a couple bad falls. Seems I have a bad habit of pushing it until I wipe out. Get well soon.

We just go back from the doctors office, the ligaments are more the problem. He has to have a cat scan on his foot tomorrow and next Monday when he goes back in, we will find out if he needs surgery or just a walking cast.
Right now for the next week he will be on the couch with the remote and his boating mags close at hand
