I can tell you thatthe 800 block of Duvall Street is where the gay entertainment/female impersonators hang out and perform. Don't know that I would want to stay in that area of Duvall. Anything in the 800s I would be concerned about. All the way up at the Southernmost is nice - but kind of touristy. Alternatively down toward the Key House is good if you are in one of the hotels. Simonton has lots and lots of wonderful B&Bs almost anywhere you stay. And Simonton is the next street over from Duvall so the location is good.

Been there almost 14 years in a row now. Hope that helps.

key west is awsome get a location near slopy joes on duval st they close the street down for the night and al boats line the streets

Sunrise Girl

Just made our reservations at the Hyatt Resort so I canceled our 2 rooms at the Merlin Guesthouse on Simonton Street. Their number is 800/642-4753 and web site is www.merlinnkeywest.com . FYI...the daily rate they gave us @ Merlin Guesthouse was $139.00 per room (king suite).

Scared me there for a minute. I originally read that wrong, you did specify $139/night at the Merlin Guesthouse. Thought you meant the Hyatt. haha.

The Hyatt has some nice properties there, just a tad bit more expensive though. Hope you didn't book the wrong one Cat, there is one located on the other side of the island.

Nope, we got the one on Front Street...with a view of the ocean! Even better is that we got the rooms at $202.50 a night!

No need to be concerned. We've never had any problems, they stay to themselves over on the east side, at least during the week a bunch of power boating fools come to town. Some of the neatest and most fashionable womens clothing in one of the stores we visited on that end. My GF loved the stuff, but they didn't have her size. Dummy me, I didn't figure it out until she said something. They'd have stuff to fit Mr. Wigginout though, too funny!
