Which drive type, if properly set-up will be the fastest? Let's say we are talking about a 36'+ cat with Cord's dream motors.

Hey Cord,
You gonna try and make it over to Hardy Dam in a couple of weeks? I haven't seen Foul on the board much lately and wondered if he found a motor?

Craig
Any surface drive (Arneson, BPM, SCS) is going to be faster than a #6. Basically, only half the prop is in the water resulting in less drag. The exception might be a #6 configuration like the 36' Bacardi Silver boat which utilizes a rudder for steering and fixes the drives with an X dimension constructively creating a surface drive (albeit an expensive one).

Craig... no motor yet.... Yo Jon!! Might just take the Glastron up to Hardy just to get around.... and bum fast rides from all my friends!! My buddy Tom is probably gonna bring both his drag boats.... should be fun to watch.
