After missing a water moccasin from 8 ft. with a friggin shotgun, we need to take some action here.

I suggest he start watching OLN channel with the "shooting shows" to learn how to hit something. :D :D

I have seen photos of the boars he's taken with his 357 mag.

Maybe he's like Indiana Jones and has a natural fear of snakes.

He's gonna chit when he sees this thread tonight, he's been off OSO all day. I fully expect an "explosive" retort.

Maybe a paint gun would be an idea, at least that would give him an idea of how far "off" he is. Then again, maybe it wouldn't. :D :D

Actually, it's a 44 magnum. I ran across a big rattler in the hunt club a couple years ago. I gave him a 44 caliber lobotomy. Minus his fist size head, he measured 62 inches and had 14 rattles on him. I made a good snake out of him.

Well, I figured I could hit him with one shot. I didn't know how the neighbors would feel about gun play. I waved down the neighbor's wife right after I shot and asked her. She said nobody would say anything unless they thought you were just playing with the gun. She told me her husband killed one the week before with a 357. The shotgun with low brass number 7's doesn't make nearly as much noise as the 44. If I hadn't loaned Johno my pellet gun, the snake would be dead. I ran down the dock squeezed the trigger and nothing happened. I forgot the safely. Now I'm really in a hurry so nobody sees me out there with the shotgun and I threw it up to the shoulder and squeezed one off. I'm much better with quail or dove because they are farther away and I get more spread. I can outshoot Debbie with a pistol or shotgun, but I can't touch her with a rifle. :(

I'm still over on the other coast. I called Debbie this evening for a snake report. She went out and looked for him, but he was afraid to show his slimy face because he knows I'm after him. She would love nothing more than to kill my snake and rub it in my face. I may have to go back there just to keep her away from my quarry. I'll send her to an out of town job until I get the deed done.

PENSACOLA, Fla. - A man who tried to shoot seven puppies was shot himself when one of the dogs put its paw on the revolver's trigger.



Jerry Allen Bradford, 37, was charged with felony animal cruelty, the Escambia County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday. He was being treated at a hospital for a gunshot wound to his wrist.


Bradford said he decided to shoot the 3-month-old shepherd-mix dogs in the head because he couldn't find them a home, according to the sheriff's office.


On Monday, Bradford was holding two puppies — one in his arms and another in his left hand — when the dog in his hand wiggled and put its paw on the trigger of the .38-caliber revolver. The gun then discharged, the sheriff's report said.


Deputies found three of the puppies in a shallow grave outside Bradford's home, said sheriff's Sgt. Ted Roy.


The other four appeared to be in good health and were taken by Escambia County Animal Control, which planned to make them available for adoption.

I'd adopt that dog. I'd call him Killer.
I would tell people he shot his former owner with a .38

They would say "what are you going to do, sick your dog on me?" and I would say...."No, but he might put a cap in your azz."

Maybe he's called up one of his "cousins", one of those 50 ft. giant Anacondas.

Cuda at the end of the dock, armed and ready, eyes ablaze, then this head the size of a full sized van rears up. Cuda shoots and.........????

this snake has already put shoe to joes ass. the way i see it, the snake has lived there longer than joe, there for joe is a newbie in the neighborhood. leave that snake alone, before he really puts a fang to your ass.

The snake's days are numbered. Debbie called about 10 pm and said the phone is back on. She called at 10:30 and said the power is on. A few minutes later, the cable was on. I'll pack up in the morning and head to Deland. That snake is dead! I have all weekend to hunt him down.

Cuda, Try an 18.5 inch barrel open choke with the birdshot. Wider spread on the shot pattern.If you still can't hit the snake maybe use an old crank phone.Put the wires to the water and crank the handle to shock the snake.........Wait thats illegal......
