Here are some pictures of my road trip to Austin, TX to pick up the TG. I decided to pick it up myself and make a birthday road trip for my nephew, Mike. Mike, a friend, Adrian, and I towed the boat home with a buddy's F-350. What a tow vehicle! Never felt it, even pulling the boat out of Lake Travis at Mansfield Dam Park. Those of you familiar with this ramp know it is a steep incline. The first picture is the boat lift in Lake Travis.

after driving all day, we spent the night (actually from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m) at this truck stop in North Fla. near Jacksonville...slept in the truck....

lost the tread on one of the trailer tires just south of Jacksonville. We were lucky to find a tire service shop about 2 miles from the interstate, although it looked like the boonies.....I thought the day was done...but only lost an hour. The shop had one of the same tires in stock.

a little out of sequence, but here's a pic of me (looking tired) debating whether to spend the night at Orange Beach, Alabama, and extend the road trip by a day......decided to keep going, much to the guys' dismay....
