Thanks for all the input.
Coming from a long heritage of sportfisherman, we usually stood.
But we were only doing 22-25mph. At 45-50 for 20-30mins now is a bit tiring. Feet hurt too w/ them old style boating shoes.
I'll have to take a ride in a sitdown when i get a chance.

I hear ya... but 10-15yrs ago, there were not many sitdown boats.
Now most racers are sitdowns, and there are more and more manufacturers offering them. Just wanted to hear from the owners of 'em. If I wanted the conflict, I would have gone and read the threads in the Cig forum.

I was just clownin around. Most of the sitdown boats today are getting great reviews. The two complaints you always hear are
1. Back seat has no grab rail for center passenger.
2. No cabin makes wife think that the boat is not a family boat. (I think Cigarette now offers a cabin in the Gladiator)

Drip, how functional are the cabins of HP boats?
I don't even like being in the cabins of flybridge sportfishing boats when I'm out at sea. And try taking a pee at 45mph!
Very few of our boats have 6ft+ headroom.
If I were to sleepout and take a vacation, I'd rather save my $ on the boat, and put it towards hotel rooms.
With a family of 5, I won't be camping on the boat.
Anyone have any cabin pics of an OL 43GTX?

I've wondered the same thing. It always seemed sitting would beat the heck out of you, but it sounds like that's not the case. Is docking a pain in the ass having to climb over seats?
