How long is that center piece. We did that to our 40' Scarab and I think it was over 6 feet. It was so heavy and a bi$#h to pick up and stowe, if we had to do it over we would have made it in two pieces. It was nice for sleeping though since it was about the size of a king size bed.
High-perf what is that in the center of your v berth

I looked at the picture again and I realize that the center looked shinny I realize now that it is just the darker stripe like on the couches.
Definitely use two pieces if you can. The concept is good but still hard to deal with. We used ours as a camper so we spent a ton of weekends on it. It was a pain because we would go out and party, then come back and have to haul all the stuff out, foam pads for comfort, mattress pad to hold everything together, sheet & blankets. Then in the morning put it all back. Often we were lazy and left it out, then it was a hassle crawling around trying to get to everything. Poor Mr P I must have spent hours b#$ching " I am to old to be crawling around an area smaller than a pup tent, 40 foot yet I only have about 3 Ft of space to get ready in, yada yada" Thankfully we have the BT and can sleep in the V berth, now when we come back to the boat trashed we just crawl right in
Hopefully you don't have to deal with a crabby wife like me
