FREE FUEL! (for someone in So-Cal)
I need a favor to ask of another OSO'er. I am a consultant working in L.A. and want to take my team out on the water, maybe over to Catalina one day. There are 4 of us who will want to go. I'll pay your gas, buy you lunch and provide all the free beer you can drink, name your brand. All you have to do is let us enjoy a day on the water with you. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Formula78...........how can I let a Formula brother down? :D :D :D :drink:
Not looking for free stuff (at all).....but I sure as heck could take you and your team out......even Reed too if he feels that he might like to go boating! Never met you! I am assuming from your post that the 3+1 (your team and you) are all hot chicks. :D :D :D :D What about Sunday....and with that many, the Seeker would be better. Ask Brian (Sydwayz) you'll see. :D :D |

Re: FREE FUEL! (for someone in So-Cal)
WOOHOO!! Formula Owners Rock! ;) Excitement has broken out in the office! I dont know about THIS weekend, what does your 24'th look like? The only reason I as is that I fly home to Austin for the weekends and I can not change the flight for this week.
You have no idea how much I appreciate this! I only managed to log 2 hours on the water this season so I am super excited! One of the other consultants on this project wants to buy a rag boat so hopefully we can change his mind! It will also be great to meet some more OSO'ers! Let me know how that date works for you! I'll be sure to ask that everyone wear a Bikini. :( :D :D :( Then again, maybe not. (And we insist on buying fuel at least!) |
Re: FREE FUEL! (for someone in So-Cal)
Tripps, I may do that. I am trying to land my next project in NY. If I am successful you will hear from me!

Re: FREE FUEL! (for someone in So-Cal)
Souds like Reed is up for it too....I need to check my calendar, but I know a "Round the Island" SCOPE run is the weekend of the 24th.........we'll figure something out!
|
Re: FREE FUEL! (for someone in So-Cal)
We are flexable on the dates on this end after this weekend with a few exceptions. The 16'th and the 23'rd (both saturdays) are no good for me. Reed, how are you looking?
|
Re: FREE FUEL! (for someone in So-Cal)
REED?! Where are you this morning?

Re: FREE FUEL! (for someone in So-Cal)
24th is looking good......... :D :D :D I don't have the time to do the SCOPE thing that weekend (two night overnighter) , so this would be a good alternative! :D :D
|
Re: FREE FUEL! (for someone in So-Cal)
Sunday the 24th works just dandy for me!......... :D
Wooooooooooo-hoooooooooooo... I'm so excited... yippppeeeee!.... :drink: |
Re: FREE FUEL! (for someone in So-Cal)

Re: FREE FUEL! (for someone in So-Cal)

Re: FREE FUEL! (for someone in So-Cal)
I'll be sure to leave my 390 gallon tank nearly empty when I get back from San Diego on the 21st. :D :D :D Just kidding!!! Maybe we can get Wasabe and Jeffrey to go too! :D
|
Re: FREE FUEL! (for someone in So-Cal)
Mike,
I have a good idea for a lake travis property with a boat dock. It's close (near Carlos n Charlies) and priced lower than the properties I sent you a while back. Let's get in touch before the weekend. Maybe we can go take a look and have a drink at Carlos n Charlies. -Daniel (512)779-7673 |

Reed, shhhhh,.. Dont be posting that article around for everyone to see! I'm trying to keep a lid on that. shhhh! :D :) ATX: Call me, the place sounds interesting! And with dock included I am VERY interested! This weekend I have a wedding in Houston to attend, but maybe next. Let me know. |
Re: FREE FUEL! (for someone in So-Cal)

Re: FREE FUEL! (for someone in So-Cal)
Is this thing still on for the 24th? I'd like to take the Cig over to Catalina at least once before I sell it. Are you all launching out of Long Beach?
|
Re: FREE FUEL! (for someone in So-Cal)
Still on for the 24'th! :)
What times are good for everyone? I assume this is an all day event. :D |
Re: FREE FUEL! (for someone in So-Cal)
Yes....we're on for the 24th. We're leaving from Newport, at the Lido dry stacks.
http://www.lidoyachtanchorage.com I would say meet there at 9:00am.....there is a resturaunt right there if you want to go early and have an awesome breakfast at Sabatino's Sausage Factory, then walk a 100 feet to the slip. I think Kevin is thinking about taking his Cig if you want to meet with him for a Long Beach launch. We'll be out at the Newport breakwater by 10ish. |
Re: FREE FUEL! (for someone in So-Cal)
Phantom: Be sure to get there early so that we can buy you breakfast. ;) :D 9:00 AM at Sabatino's Sausage Factory sounds like a plan to me. How long do you generally stay out? I dont know what boating is like here is So-Cal so I am up for anything. Besides, one of the guys on my team who is local is looking at buying at 37' Seeker out of Marina Del Ray and he will need to know what to do once he is with boat. :D

Well....not sure what the weather will be like, but it rained like heck for 10 minutes this morning in Woodland Hills!!! There was a cloud that was basically right over my house. Reed.....not sure where you are. Are you riding your bike down? :D :D

Re: FREE FUEL! (for someone in So-Cal)
Nort, its Roger Zelaya from Scope. I will be picking up my boat this weekend of 10/16 from AZ. I think I will be able to meet with you guys on the 24th at 10 am at the Newport Breakwater. I will confirm on Friday before the trip. And ......... for 390 gallons....... they could just take the Catalina express!!!!!!! ...Just Kidding.
That was sooooo funny. :D Roger Zelaya, Covina, Ca |
