The macs are 99.999% virus free and run on a much better OS than MicroSoft's. The only downside is that there aren't nearly as many software programs written for the macs.

Yes you can. I have both. Also, when you install Firefox, it will import all of your favorites & settings from IE if you want it to.

Been using Firefox for few days, IMHO it's faster so in my book better.

I run IE and Firfox one beside the other and click for the same pages and FF was faster. Ther is some issue with integration with other programs but nothing major. Nice to have a choice.
