Re: Famous resident of Thunderboat Row.
Sean -
Yes, King Hussein was one of the five pictures in his office. Can you name the other four most famous? |
Re: Famous resident of Thunderboat Row.
Wow Mike, I'm impressed, that's three of the other four! Wow.
Clue on the remaining, it's a group. Where are you in Tampa? I have a winter place just south of you on AMI. |
Re: Famous resident of Thunderboat Row.
Hey Brownie,
Do you happen to remember or know about a old 30' Flight Marine raceboat by the name of "Top Cat"? Yellow and Orange with a panther and a chick painted on the deck? It had Arneson's ASD #6 and small blocks. Thanks, Ben |

A group shot huh? I thought I got the group shot with The Beatles hummm....would it be with Don aboard a US Customs boat with Senator Paula Hawkins and customs Commisioner Von Raab, or another shot with George Buch and Secratary of the Treasury Nickolas Brady? The Beatles is correct, the 5th picture I was talkng about was Don and the BeeGees. |

Sheer Terror, Bob Sheer's M Class National Champ.
|
Re: Famous resident of Thunderboat Row.
My friend Zane Brown lived on the houseboat. His Dad owned Scottie Craft. Went to many parties on that houseboat.

Re: Famous resident of Thunderboat Row.
Brownie,
Was Sheer Terror the same boat as Top Cat or Vis-Versa? It was Top Cat last then, is that correct? Thanks, Ben |
Re: Famous resident of Thunderboat Row.
It was Sheer Terror when it was new.

Re: Famous resident of Thunderboat Row.
I recall last year when Bobby visited us for our SCOPE Dry meeting, he brought the video of that race and Althea was hosting the race coverage of the event, it was funny to think Sammy Davis was so interested in Offshore racing...one ride in some of the water they were in that day and all 100lbs of him would have been tossed right out  :D

Re: Famous resident of Thunderboat Row.
Brownie,
Thanks very much for the information. I had no idea that it was the same boat. I saw Sheer Terror race at the very first offshore race that I ever attended in the 1983 Key West World Championship. Wow, that's cool. Thanks, Ben Hedrick |
Re: Famous resident of Thunderboat Row.
Sorry Barry I was out of touch for a few days. I would have never got all four especially the BeeGees one. But I see Fever Mike is on top of his game these days. :drink:
How's things Mike? Hope all is well. Sean |
Linda Lovelace......geez that is funny!! :D
