Thanks for the quick reply David - i guess I'm already getting a taste of southern hospitality! I'm trying to stay with automotive/powertrain (especially motorsports). I've talked with a couple NASCAR shops and OEMs but we'll see. I'll give you a shout when I know when I'll be in the area. Cool site too! Maybe I won't miss Lk. St. Clair too much.

Hey there, I am Realtor at Lake Norman and also a part of the powerboat club. Give me a call when you get down this way 704-634-8431 and I can help find what you are looking for. My other half is from Woodhaven MI. You two may have some common acquaintances.
As for Lake St. Clair, Nice try on the tie up but we WON
you did have more boats but all of ours were tied together

Ah I see how its going to be! Well there's always next year! I'm planning to attend both so either way I'll be in the record book.
If you've got listings please email 'em: [email protected] I noticed prices are considerably cheaper than MI but still haven't found what I'm looking for - lake access (or front!), lot with room for oversize or pole barn, etc. Obviously I will have to see what job comes along before I pick a specific area but I'm hoping I can live in the Lake Norman area.
