I have a friend that has the 29 Scarab with two 540`s and he had to add about 400 lbs to keep it straight, it is flawless looks great the way it sits and looks bigger than a 29. However, I smoked it with my 28 single engine race boat.

i dont know what year his scarab is but theres no way your fitting a pair of big blocks in my engine compartment...the small blocks barely fit...

i've run my boat in the 60mph range in solid 3-4 footers here off the coast and the boat rides fantastic

mine with the twin 350 mpi's is a solid 68 mph boat @ 49-5000 rpms and extremely fuel efficient to boot

Here are a few pictures of a new 2005 custom made 28' we built for Domz Pantera an OSO member powered by twin Mercruiser 496 HOs. We offer the 28' model with a single engine or twin engine set up. On the twins we offer the 28' with twin small blocks or big blocks.

In either a single or twin engine version it will run awesome in rough water. We build each Pantera to take extreme punishment in rough water and offer a Lifetime warranty on our glass work.
