Just competed Konrad serivice school

Tim Dorr (Dorr's Marine Engines) and I just completed the Konrad Marine training school. Dorr's Marine is now certified to rebuild the Konrad 520 and 540 drives. This was a three day training seminar, we were very impressed with the level of training the instructors delivered to us. The folks at Konrad sure run a nice operation, first class all the way!

Thanks Konrad Marine!

Kurt

Congrats Kurt!!!

By the way... Nice article in the Magazine this month about the mufflers!!! Nancy took it to the hairdressers with her and left it there before I could read it. I did look at the pictures though.

Kurt,i'm sure you were already familiar/rebuilding bravo drives, for us guys who rebuild our own drives but have never been in a konrad drive give us the lowdown on what you saw. Is there 4 gears in top,3 or 2? etc, basic design?Sure,we been hearing about how they are strong and heavy duty but how much bigger were the internals compared to the bravo's and xr's? Is the vert shaft 2 piece's or is it only 1,any info or operational theory etc you can shed light on to us,Thanks,Smitty

You gotta love a woman that takes the boating magazine to the hairdresser with her!
