Who knows if he still has it, and better yet if he would part with it. Worth a try.

I have an old timer friend of mine that has a 30' Scarab hull approx. 1979. I think it has blocks but no interior. It is on a trailer and located in Lk. Hopatcong N.J. Has not been wet in years. I know he is reasonable on the price. Let me know if you need more info. [email protected]

I see this old thread resurfaced and just wanted to say
'thanks" to all for the leads.
We ended up buying Rocky Aoki's old 35' Cigarette "Benihana". Rocky bought it from Hal Sahlman who successfully raced it as "Spirit". We were looking for something with some historical significance as well as something that was in good shape. The Benihana Cigarette had both. It is my belief that someday these boats will really be worth something much like we've seen in recent years with vintage race cars.
I'll take some pictures soon and post a new thread for all who have these old race boats etc.
Thanks to "R Addiction" for posting the Mich Lite pictures. I hope your bro showed you the videos I sent him! - lots of great Mich Lite on those...
Here's a couple of old pics of "Benihana", "Spirit", and the last one of my dad actually sitting on "Top Banana" back in '79 with "Benihana" in the background...little did he know then that someday he'd own her.

I remember Bam as the pace boat at a lot of races...but I never saw it actually in one.
