Saw this one for the first time coming in Port Everglades two weeks ago. Anyone know who?

Take a look at the thread with the new Mac Manus Apache 42.....Mark knows the market and he is building boats now that have a very nice and subtle color scheme.

The classic look is somethig that will look good forever.

Does ANYONE have a picture of the "Vice". Is that really the model name?

I agree, the "box of crayons" paint schemes are getting a bit over the top, how about a nice compromise? (Love this boat!) Do a new 30' with some old-school paint?

Not sure about the paint jobs of today, but the early-mid 90s crayon jobs do absolutely nothing for me.

Guys:

I get the feeling some of you are looking at the wrong boat. Here is the pic again with 30 encircled.

Nope... we are looking at the 30' in the background, but commenting on the boat in the foreground and how not-so-appealing (to some) the paint job is. And that lead to how paint jobs that are more simple are more attractive (to some) as opposed to the "box of crayons" that we see more often today, like the Cig in that pic.

You are probably going to be able to get it in a few months for 165-170....if not now....that is still high... a 2002 Gun w/500s and 100 hours is 200K. 200K for 496's is awful....
That boat with 525s will be 230-240K!!! terrible... 240K gets you a 38 foot everything else except a Cig. Love to have one but 200 K is stupid.
My single 29 Fever with a 525 runs 78mph... for 100 K less...

Compare to the new 30 Apache... with a single will be how much?

30 superboat is probably $65,000.
29 Extreme will run $80,000.
32 Pantera will probably be 180-190 w/ twins(28ft=135)
33 Powerplay is 185?
28 Saber w/ twins=125

And don't tell me resale w/ a new 30 cig will be much better than the others... cuz this aint no topgun.

Yeah...I'm kinda partial to that one too... bring back the old school paint...it'll bring up the resale value of mine

my ole girl is wrapped up in shrinkwrap, for what i am sorry to say will be an extended period of time...need to save some money to put new power in her...which aint gonna happen for at least another year....shame.
