Train horns by far! Used to have them on the big truck and came in handy for the "wide turns".

I would assume it is NOT safe to put the air tank in the cab of the truck? If not were else can I put it or does anyone know of a system were they do not need a tank? I assume to get them real loud that you do. May have to hire my brother to fabricate me a bracket for under the bed btwn the frame rails....

Jon, I second Rippem's statement. Do a search on www.dieselplace.com One of the threads had a sound wave attachment link, locomotive horns, he detailed the entire installation and experience. Quite funny, and effective if you really want to be heard.

neighborhood thinks a locomotive is coming down the street.......

IF you want LOUD , you must have a compressor with a tank ...... You can put the compresser under the hood and the tank on the frame . It is a small tank . about 8" x12" or so .

If you want loud , & want them to fit , buy the hadleys twin horns . The two small ones mounted together ,next to each other . They are MUCH louder then the big ones . EXTREMEMLY LOUD !!!! I have several sets on my trucks where space is an issue . Like these :

IF SPACE IS NOT A PROBLEM ,, YOU WANT LOUD ,,AND SCARE THE CRAP OUT OF EVERYONE ,,,,, GET THE TRAIN HORNS !! I have them too ! Horns run around $140 with electric solinoid , plus what ever the tank and pump cost . Here's a complete kit I just found :
