You beat me to it. Is that a pencil or pen between the big and second toe?

As long as the stringers and transom are solid I wouldn't worry about the age. It does seem a bit pricy though doesn't it?

I have an '85 28ss and I love it. Small blocks with TRS drives. It eats up 2 ft chop like its not even there. Not only are big blocks heavier but theres not much room under the hatch to work on them. It's pretty tight even with small blocks. Honestly it is an absolute pain in the azz to work on. I'm going to update mine soon with 2 brand new motors, exhaust, interior, still on the fence about the bravos. The hook in the bow your talking about seems to show up in pictures more than in person. Heres a picture of mine. By the way, anyone thinking "Hey, that's not really a Top Gun!" Just remember my boat was built in '85. Cigarette didn't come out with the Top Gun until '87.

I recently bought a 1976 28SS with an OS windshield. Small blocks and TRS's. So far I love it. Heavy build and very solid ride. I don't think I'd like big blocks in that size of a boat though.

JohnJan - you're boat looks awesome

what do you have for power/drives/Props? - I'm not shopping yet, (the wallet isn't heavy enough) but that is about what I want to get into.
What kind of numbers are you getting?
I'm not looking to be the fastest guy out there, (low 70's would be about the most I wanna go, yet) but the good ride in the chop is what I want - I had a 25 Baja '86 with a 454, heavy boat, but damn could it handle snotty lake Erie. On a good day it was running mid to low 60's - which was (almost) enough fun for me.
I'd love to run faster, but I know my limitations right now - I'll throttle, let someone else steer...

Only a couple of things look funny. What's with the way the glass just below the rail at the bow hooks out to the bow?? - kinda strange looking line on the hull.

I like the way in pic 2 the bolsters drop out to the gunwales instead of backward. Any opinions on that? seems like it would support better in the rough and hold you in from side to side.

Price doesn't even seem outrageous.
Could use a little updating, but I like it!
those are cool
