Re: 36 apache 4 sale sank in OK any info???
I thought Oklahoma was a dust bowl. How could a boat sink in a dust bowl?
There really is water there? |

I recall there was in fact lots of structual damage but I could be wrong...... The accident happened 100 meters in front of our boat during the NYC poker run. We were second on the scene. |

Warpaint,
did you really buy the engines and drives? anyone is welcome to call me with any questions they might have, being i'm the one who flipped her. She did more than just roll. it cartwheeled vertically 2 or3 times before it sank in SALT water. I sure hope the guy who bought it from the salvage company came out and looked at it first. The insurance company made it look very attractive and advertised it with minimal damage, which was not true. The motors wer spinning close to 6,000 rpms when it went down STERN first with NO engine hatches on. one the #6 drives are DAMAGED, cracked upper casing, and the skeg was ripped off. A big chunk of lamination is missing from the port side. and is cracked ALL over the boat. I belive the engines have a serious knock in them. we pumped 5 gallons of seawater out of them. It's a shame and we are all lucky to be alive with no permanent injuries!! That boat still looks awesome in the pictures. Fred 516-456-9451 untill 11 pm |

Fred,
We are sure glad you guys came thru that ok. |
Re: 36 apache 4 sale sank in OK any info???
One of the reasons I heard the insurance company totaled the boat was because the stringers dislocated from the hull. there are 0 savable interior parts or components. The cabin is salt water soaked and destroyed. the deck is all cracked and chunks of glass are missing. the engine hatches were ripped off the boat. the faring was torn off the deck. Please also keep in mind the boat sat at my dealership for 4 months in the elements before it was purchased.
I'm not trying to make it difficult for the current owner to sell the boat, but I believe it should be described correctly. I do not want a fellow OSO'er to get a raw deal. Fred |
