Is the Charlie you are talking about "In the Red Charlie" from Island Park?

It's really quite simple....... the laws of physics state that any rotation produces a torque lean in the opposite direction......and the more prop in the water the more torque is transferred...... so....when a counter rotated boat leans in either direction......the prop on that side has increased torque lean (traction) and assists in the rolling movement......resulting in more barrel rolls during aggressive turns...and aggravates situations that create chine walking (both vees and Cats). When I flew over the races.....in a helicopter for 20 years...I could spot a counter rotated boat from a mile away....it was the one that didn't want to settle down....or level out.....and the one that pitched outboard in turns.

Many people have contrary opinions.... these are the ones for whom the laws of physics have no meaning..... many of them are respected performance experts and racers...some are famous..... all are wrong.

If you spin in ...you might as well abandon birth control as well..... it makes about the same amount of sense.....both can produce startling results with long lasting impact. Of course the latter creates life...the former can end it.

You are CORRECT! 2 weeks ago Charlie laid down a run at 126!!!!!! :evilb: :cool: I am willing to bet that there is no better set-up man and operator of a 28 Skater in the country! No disrespect is intended to those that havw achieved great success, but no one spend the extreme amount of time working on their boat as does Charlie!

What is a "normal" speed for this kind of rig? 126 is very respectable!!

High teens to 121 if you are good. If you are the BEST? 126....
