Country Music Awards?

No, I'm don't like that sad crap or Hank Sr. junk either.
I actually listen to 80's rock and modern alternative for the most part. Me and my 13 yr old have a lot of the same music tastes. My 11 yr old daughter likes "today's country" and Avril Lavigne (which for some odd reason I can listen to that without too much trouble). Wife is a modern country all the way. Add to that I have some friends deeply entrenched in country music and I have to at least be able to tolerate it.
Hank Jr. is more my speed. And live is better, especially when Bocephus plays Van Halen and ZZ Top.
But, no, Big and Rich aren't my bag visually. I can listen to them MUCH EASIER than looking at them.
As far as breaking the mold? The country mold? There's a reason for that.
THEY AREN'T COUNTRY.
Just like many others in today's modern country ARENT country.
I like staring really really hard at Shania's pants, but SHE AINT country. She's pop.
Some of the electronic voiced teen country sensations AINT country either.
Unkle Kracker certainly AINT country. No matter how hard Kenny Chesney tries to convince us otherwise.
Genre busters.
More like Genre Invaders.
But it seems to be working well for them.

OMG, I can't believe you guys are talking about this, Mr P just went to bed cause he can't believe I love this chit, me a gal from NY! anyway Tobby's daughter looked a little old for a teen but she could sure belt it out. Sara sounded great, I love the new Shania duet and have been watching it on GMAC. Looks like Tim's year; Live Like you are dying hits a lot of soft spots especially since his dad passed. I want someone to finally take it away from Crooks and Dunn, Ange I am with you I love those big and rich guys. I was thinking they could play ride a Cowboy at the party, after all us girls are in charge
One last thing I really like Terri Clark but I am starting to wonder about her..... back to the show
