Joker,
Congrats on the new car!
There is something really cool about a 300hp 4banger. I'm a big rally fan. I don't think I could keep myself from going 90 down a twisty gravel road if I had that car.

My Brother-in-law has that car with the silver wheels. MAAAAANN is it fast. I seem to remember seeing it will out run the new BMW M3 and is only .2 seconds behind the corvette in the 1/4 mile. (not sure about the specs....this was several months ago, but it was REAL close to the corvette) You can flat out slam the gears at RPM and the tranny handles it fine. Interior creature comforts aren't the best, but again...IT MOVES!

This is one of the few cars that actually makes use of that thingy on the hood. (unlike anything Pontiyak ever made)

Oops, busted. The family 1996 WS6 Firebird has a true ram air hood & more horsepower than the 96 vettes. (excepting the Grand Sports Vette, less than a 1,000 of those.) Vette owners complained about the high horsepower Pontiacs and it never happened again. Ram air was a functional option on many of the 1960s GTOs and Firebirds. Pretty easy it make it functional on the 1969 cars, the hood scoop inlets unbolted and you could rig it up yourself if so inclined.

My 69 GTO Judge did have factory Ram Air that did work! and My 67 GTO had a His and hers shifter that worked just as well. and about 20 years later Porche tried saying they invented a new trans that would let you shift on demand like a manual and then put it back into auto. Sorry guys my 67 GTO had that also from the factory.
