If anyone remembers in the very first episode when tubs steals crockets boat didn't it say stinger on it? sorry to get off topic here? just trying to remember hoping some miami vice buff would remember.

The Stinger in the first episode is different from the boats used in following episodes and was supposedly Don Johnson's personal boat as the CC-supplied 390 Stingers were not available at the time the episode was shot. Still, it was history in the making.
I understand Don Johnson is going to be in a new series this fall in the role of an attorney.
