Default Northern VA Baja Franchise changes hands again...

I tell ya; this sales franchise changes hands more often then most folks change their shorts.

In the past few years, it has been at Holly Acres Marina; then Full Tilt Marine, now Prince William Marina.
www.pwmarina.com

Prince William Marina is definately the largest marina in Northern Virginia, and probably the largest on the Potomac River (its actually on the Occoquan River, a few hundred yards from the Potomac). The thing that threw me for a loop when I found out about this latest switch, is PW Marina is the largest and most successful Sea Ray dealer in the world. Yes, SEA-RAY. I dunno what they are thinking, we'll see if its a good move for them. When I walked in and asked the receptionist if they were really selling Baja, she answered me with the same disbelief I offered when I asked. Hopefully they will stock some more HP parts though which is good for the area.

Sonic moved around the Chesapeake Bay area circling 3 dealers in the past few years as well. What is it about this area?

Brian,
Which marina is PW? Where is it in relation to Geckos?

I think that Sea Ray and Baja are owned by the same company. They are probably doing it because they have to!!

Sea Ray and Baja are owned by the same company. The Sea Ray dealer here used to sale Baja but dropped them because they could not sell them. They had boats that were two and three years old that had never been sold but were still in inventory.

Magnum, are you in VA Beach? We had the same thing happen at the Sea Ray dealer here.

Yep, PWM is up farther, on the left, as you head toward Occoquan Park. Its a HUGE dealer. They must have 250 boats moored at their docks, and another 300 inside their Dry Stacks.
