I sure as hell wouldn't go out on the water today. Besides, the seas are 6 to 8 right now and climbing to 10 ft. by mid afternoon. It's been windy for about ten days straight down here. Well off to work.

Went out Saturday and was OK, I thought Sunday was gonna be COLDER AND WINDIER and it urned out to be nicer than Saturday. We even went on the outside for a little bit on Saturday.

I took the Bullet out on Saturday but we ran out of time so we did not stay out for very long. The weather was fair.
Birdog and I took his gun out on Sunday for a little as well the weather was warmer but the water on the outside was BIG pretty cool to run in it really gives you an appreciation for the number V's hanging off the back :drink:

Last Friday I was heading across the Ringling Causeway to go up Longboat Key and HALF of Sarasota Bay was out of water.

The tides were real low most of last week I know what you are talking about I drive over the bridge almost everyday. The low tide today was much higher most of the flats were covered compared to last week when they were dry!

Well I sold the Pantera last month....
I have two demos from work that I can run...but neither will cruise at 55.... I can't stand being the slowest. :mad: See, before I always knwe I wouldn't be out back...as long as Cuda was attending!!! :evilb:
And, I'll look a bit goofy with a 20 some center console with 4-8 people on it, and Cash Bar as the bow pulpit.. :rolleyes: all hammering along at 40 mph...

Ryan, I've been busy running back and forth to Ocala the last couple of weeks. Our job this week is in Daytona, so I can be home in time to get on the boat. I may not have to work tomorrow, if not, I'll be in the bilge. I do have to go to Ocala on Thursday, but one day here should be enough, if I can fix it at all.

You may have to run down here and give me a hand. Gusman is off to Minnesota for the holidays. I'm picking up all the exhaust parts tomorrow and if I feel brave i just might try getting it back together myself.

Eddie Marine told me to be safe that I should take the manifolds back off and mill water jackets into the flange. When I told Cuda that this afternoon, he scolded me for ten minutes, ^*!_ that chit, bolt the ^*)_+&^% things on and run the ^*)#!^* boat. And that was the "G" rated version.

After talking with many people, and sitting on a fence since Saturday I've decided that when Gusman gets back from Minnesota, we're gonna yank the manifolds back off the motors and have water jackets milled in the flanges. Reasonable common sense tells me I ought to be able to bolt it up as it and should work okay, but since when does common sense enter the picture with an offshore boat? If we had any common sense we wouldn't own these resin bucket money eaters. So I'm out for the Fun Run and now I only have 372 days of listening to Cuda kick my azz about missing it. :D :D

University Pky exit 212( I think) west to 41 turn left (south) 10th St ramps are about 3 miles down on right side across the street from the Sunoco Station.

After reading about guys running the same exhaust application I am currently facing and not having problems, damn the water passages and full speed ahead.

It's getting bolted up. I wanna make this run. Ths stern may not be highly polished and beautiful, and might have some Gusman fingerprints on it, but I want it floating and running.

Hey all,

Another damn yankee in FL. Spoke to the wife and we have no plans. Only wrinkle in the ointment is we have one of our kids with us. New to the area and need to hunt down a baby sitter. If thats a nogo just let me know. He's pretty hardy considering what you call "rough water" here. We might just opt to cruise along and learn the lay of the "land".

I'm at Home Port Marina, how far is it to the Hyatt in Sarasota from there? We have no problem taking the cruise down, just want to be back before nightfall, is it doable?

BTW - Have a Baja 302 with 502s, have run every NYC poker run with all parts intact (sometimes a feat for a Baja)
