New to me Top Gun
 

After a long season without a boat I found a replacement 2001 Top Gun


I needed to bring this thread back up to say thanks to all that were involved in making this possable


Frank Civitano at Typhoon Performance Marine, was a pleasure to work with, he put up with all of my phone calls, changed dates for sea trial I had to pick the coldest day in November , closing, off the wall requests and was always on top of everthing.

Dave Patnaude from Essex Credit, what can I say I asked for a loan and he came through, I have no idea how he found a bank willing to loan me this kind of money and at a killer rate also THANKS DAVE :drink:

Tres Martin of Martin Offshore, I had many questions about this boat and because it was sold new from Martin Marine I knew Tres was the one to ask. Tres will always take the time to lend whatever help or information he has to whoever he is talking to or working with.

Chris Cestaro Ocean Performance, I first met Chris some 11 years ago, I had no money but I knew what I wanted a Cigarette, the first one I looked at was a 1988 Cafe Racer named Optic Nerve Chris had sold it new, and remembered everything about it , we talked about it for over an hour back in 1993, from that point forward I can't tell you hay many Cigarettes Chris has showed me over the years. Chris is a class act all the way

Do we know each other? I reconize the open water shot as Barnaget Bay just north of the house on the island looking east. The land photo's are Florida? and Typhoon Marine.

Great looking Cig. Very clean graphics. Sweet!!

Do yourself a favor and check the bearings on those blowers. They used very small bearings on those units and they will eat you cylinder walls very quickly.

Grab the front pulley and check for play. Put some real pressure on it. The front of the units usually go first.

Bill the foot rests have a built in hydraulics to raise the top edge about 4" using a trim pump located under the rear bench seat

The speed on the GPS spedo was done on a 40 degree day about 2 weeks ago running 34p Bravo1 stock props, 3 people and just over 1/2 tank of fuel
