Richbrau Brewing Company in Richmond, VA, has set up something great for us; again! They are giving us the entire West Wing of their establishment, with pool tables, totally to us for the reserved time slot. After our reserved section ends around 9pm, the entire establishment is at our disposal including the restaurant, nightclub with dance floor, more pool tables, and several bars. As like last year, drinks and any individually ordered items would be on your own tabs. This worked great last year. As eloquently stated above by OSO/CBPBA member Bill Love… This is “A big azz party for go-fast boaters to break up the winter blues.” Break out your Boating Apparel in the middle of winter and talk horsepower and swimsuits. For some of you, this will be a haul, but this will be ABSOLUTELY worth the effort.

This party planning gets very sticky, and especially so with such a widespread crowd and the fact I am not doing this close to my home.

Remember, I am not doing this for a profit.

Any leftover cash will be used to defer costs of any more food, and anything above that will be donated to a fitting charity. Please don't complain about the cover charge. (Last year, you all at $850 in Shrimp alone). This is not a lot of money for what you are getting. There will be giveaways/door prizes and other incentives, (see below).

JUST LIKE LAST YEAR; BUT DIFFERENT:

I will personally cover the Hotel Room for the three farthest traveling OSO members up to $100 each. The distance traveled will be verified via driving mileage as calculated by http://maps.yahoo.com/dd website from your home address to the address of the Richbrau listed above. If you fly, that’s fine too. Richmond International Airport is only 15 minutes away.

NEW THIS YEAR:

Virginia Hold’em Winter Chill-Out Poker Crawl (optional)

Traditionally the RPBA has held a pre-party party at the Tobacco Factory, 1 Block away from the Winter Chill-Out. This enables our 2-Card Draw Poker Crawl. $5 bucks gets you a hand in the Poker Crawl. You get a chip at the Stop 1 of the Poker Crawl at the Tobacco Factory. Once you show up Stop 2; at the Richbrau, you redeem your chip by drawing 2 Poker Cards. The Flop, Turn, and River cards will be drawn and posted at the Winter Chill-Out.

YOU MUST PURCHASE YOUR FIRST HAND and obtain your chip at the Tobacco Factory; Stop 1. You can purchase as many hands as you like, but you cannot mix up your cards between your hands. We have a method to keeps things straight.

The pot for the Poker Crawl will be determined as follows:
Pot divided by 6 shares:
3 shares = 1st place
2 shares = 2nd place
1 share = 3rd place

Example but not guaranteed:
If 150 hands at $5 each =

Example 1st place = $375
Example 2nd place = $250
Example 3rd place = $125

Here is what I need from EVERYONE to RSVP:

I need your RSVP via email to OSOBOATERPARTY(a)AOL.COM with the number you have attending AND how many Poker Hands you want to purchase.

I will only accept RSVPs via this email address, as I cannot keep track of several bulletin boards.

Book your hotel by calling the hotel directly; including if you think you are one of the farthest traveled.
The hotel has an indoor heated swimming pool, so bring your swimsuits.

Giveaways/door prize donations last year included:
