There are an awful lot on the water and they cant all be self insured whats the story. I'm in Jersey and was wondering who and what you cat owners are doing for insurance. Im still with Blackadar on my 30 Spectre O/B.........I hear their is gonna be a big get together through Mercury and the Hi-Perf. boat builders in early December to come up with a solution to the insurance dilema thats swaying so many buyers and owners to alternative boats.

state farm wouldn't even cover my cat.... they got all my other stuff but didn't want to touch a 100+ MPH boat.

Hey Bernie, what are you looking at? I had a 30 Cobra cat w/ twin 300 Promax's. Sold it 2.5 yrs. ago to a guy in Bayville.

Re: Catamaran Insurance

Allstate and State Farm wouldn't touch mine either even though allstate has all my cars. I hope the guys that have them as carriers are sure that the insurance companies know how fast there boats are. If you try to "not tell all "with them its gonna come back to bite ya if you have a claim. As soon as I told them it would hit a 100mph the conversation was over.I heard alot of agents will write them but if you have a claim get ready forthe finger pointing and clauses to start showing up.

Ouch. Man that really sucks. I haven't had any problems with them. I'm going to check my policy out and see what it says.....So what happened with that? Did you ever recover anything or find the guy?
