hey tantrum, thats the first pic ive ever seen of your boat moving through the water. im so used to it being on the trailer, i didnt know it could float. what a treat. im not so sure you can be a part of this thread, i thought your a big bad skater guy. blah blah blah, go make some wedding plans, and forget about a new rig. your not aloud to get one anyway.... dont worry about it, ill let you come over and rub my transom when you feel the need to be around a real rig. your best buddy dave

Oh dont be draggin me into your land anchor title.
I have plenty of hours on my boat this year. The nicest thing about your boat is I have a place to piss when drinking beers out in that shed of yours. Right behind the boat.
Rub your transom? That sounds a little gay to me....

Re: where are the active thunder guys

if you do buy one you will never go back youll be a/t for life, ive been it them all and all have there own good and bad qualities but the a/t has more good and less bad than the rest,, things to consider.

price good
quality great , verry solid
looks awsome as any
speed speed speed verry fast
rough water ride as good as it gets
cabin verry roomy
rigging well appointed
sizes 25, 28 ,32, 37 all great

i should know i had a 25 and now a 32 and next a 37 or a 43?

Rick, so if we built a 2005 32' give me 3 things you would change with yoour a/t. Make it outside the fiberglass which is from a mold and difficult to change. Specifically creature comforts, Gadgets or convenience items. And don't even touch the length of time it takes me to return phone calls.....

pat the only thing i wish my 2000 32 had is one of those pull out beds like thunder storm has, other than that id leave perfection alone.

ps ill get that pull out bed in my 37 in a year or so. :D

What if we do an electric stripper pole that pops up from the center of the engine hatch like the electric anchor lights do? Might be a handy, little option.

Re: where are the active thunder guys

do you have any pics of the stand?

vette131 11-30-2004 09:51 PM

Re: where are the active thunder guys

no i dont but it is really simple to build. we just made a receiver cup for the pole to fit in
& welded it to a plate that gets thru bolted to the the floor area that extends into the engine compartment. it's alot easier if you have twin hatches that open in the middle like my older cig. i just trimmed the hatches under the vinlyl & you can't tell when the poles not up.

I am SO not gonna touch that one!
I realize most of this smack has been all in fun, but after reading some of the lip service from some of these guys, I wouldn't be afraid to put the lil ole 25 Thunder up against some of your so called "big dawgs" out there. And I'll even leave the padded hatch on the back and the cooler of goodies in the cabin. ;)

its very stable. we built a plate with a hole in it that is through bolted to the cross brace that the hatches rest on when closed. it also has a pin that secures it to the bottom cup
so it can't pull up.it creates quite a stir at poker runs & parties!!!

if you get a chance I would like to see a picture. My problem would be my drive shaft and
my third motor being in the way
